How counterfeit money is made

Creating counterfeit money is both illegal and tricky. Offset printing is the traditional way of printing counterfeit notes. Nowadays, both inkjet printers and laser printing are used to create fake bills.

Counterfeit money is produced and distributed for different  Purposes by criminal organizations. Furthermore, using bleached notes is also a widely used method to make counterfeit money.

Using offset printers wasn’t successful in creating counterfeit bills. Therefore people switched to inkjet and laser printing to imitate genuine notes. Indeed, the people were able to copy the features successfully, making the notes identical. The fake notes look alike when observed in the naked eye. But the magnified view revealed the actual state of the counterfeit bills. The printers were not excellent at imitating and reproducing all the features.

The original notes were printed on rag cloth which is a mixture of cotton and linen. The texture and the appearance of actual notes were hard to replicate. Therefore bleached notes were used to print counterfeit notes. Using bleached notes made clarifying fake bills hard as the texture was the same as the genuine notes.

Furthermore, glued security threads were used to mislead the detector machines. Printing counterfeit money becomes advanced and hard to capture with technological development.
